WHY LEGACY DRIVEN LEADERSHIP?

I started the Center for Legacy Driven Leadership (CLDL) to communicate my heart for leader development and adult education and learning: leader succession. There were several aha! moments I had in my doctoral program about leader formation, including how and why certain leaders are chosen to carry vision forward. In secular and sacred offices the incumbents were without succession plans because of a mindset that no one was competent to take the reigns. That boils down to a lack of training to succeed the incumbent.
What the CLDL offers is toxic leadership awareness and transformational leadership development that is rooted in leadership theory. Our hope is that what we do positively impacts the emerging and future leaders for succession in top tier roles. The great thing about legacy is that it depends on us.
